Our Montessori Accreditation
Kawartha Montessori School takes immense pride in providing superior education, fortified by accreditation from the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA). This endorsement sets us apart from other Montessori establishments in Peterborough and the Kawarthas, ensuring parents of top-notch educational standards for their children.

It’s crucial for parents to know:
Many “Montessori” schools lack accreditation. Since “Montessori” is a public domain name, any institution can lay claim to it, even without adhering to stringent standards set by organizations like CCMA.
Gaining accreditation is challenging. Achieving CCMA accreditation involves an intensive and comprehensive process. It requires meticulous evaluation of the school’s curriculum, programs, and overall operations to ascertain they meet the highest benchmarks of Montessori education.
About MACTE Accreditation: If a school possesses MACTE accreditation, it indicates at least one teacher has been trained at a MACTE accredited institute. However, it doesn’t vouch for the school’s overall accreditation. Full accreditation demands that the entire staff and business operations align with higher, more stringent standards.
