In order to receive these items by the holidays, orders MUST be in by this Sunday at midnight. We apologise profusely for the short ordering window, there were delays that were out of our control.

Have a great day!
Due to the inclement weather, there are a number of families away from school today. Therefore, we have decided to postpone movie night. We will let you know when a new date has been determined.
The students have voted and the results are in! The Casa/LE movie will be Boss Baby, the LE/UE movie will be Captain Underpants, and the UE/MS movie will be Ant Man and the Wasp.
3:45 pm: Optional walk through Burnham Woods before movie night begins. Families are asked to meet out front of the school.
4:30 pm: Hot dogs will be served. ($5 for hot dog, juice box and popcorn)
5:00 pm: Movies will begin
PEG is asking families to bring a reusable water bottle/glass, plates, and individual sized bowls for popcorn.
Halloween is just around the corner and it is a very exciting time for the students! We ask that costumes not be worn to school, however, as we do every year, please feel free to have your child dress in “Halloween Colours” (orange, black, white). Following Halloween, please keep treats in lunches to a minimum. This is in keeping with our nutritious, litterless lunch policy.
We hope you have a safe and fun Halloween!
Thank you very much to everyone that came out in support of KMS at our Chapter’s Fundraising evening last week. $561 was raised for the school which is fantastic news! We also received many wonderful books from our community, and the teachers are happily adding them to their classroom shelves! Thank you to PEG for organising, thank you to those that volunteered their time to run the event, and thank you again to you. KMS thrives because of your continuing support.
Important events coming up:
Picture Day tomorrow (Tuesday October 23rd) – Individual and Class Photos
Take Me Outside Day (Wednesday October 24th) – We are outside as much as possible, however we want to honour Take Me Outside Day! From 2:15 pm-3:15 pm, the Upper Elementary students will be leading the younger students through a series of outdoor games and activities. Fun! (The MS students will be participating in a Mental Health Session)
PA Day (Friday October 26th) Enjoy your weekend!
As a school, the decision was made to try something new this year and reverse our lunch time with our outdoor recess time. We have now come to know that this reversal has not been as beneficial a transition for our students as was thought. Therefore, starting Monday, we will be going back to our original schedule of whole school recess from 11:45 am – 12:20 pm and lunch from 12:25 pm – 1:00 pm. This change will not affect hot lunches.
