We were very fortunate this week to have KMS parent Jonathan Bennett visit the UE classroom to run a poetry workshop. Students were treated to Jonathan sharing several of his own compositions and leading the students in the creation of some exciting and interesting poems. Thank you so much Jonathan for taking the time to visit our class.
Friday was Engineering Challenge #2 in the UE class. In pairs, students were tasked with designing and creating a wind powered car that would travel the furthest linear distance. There were some highly creative designs and competition was fierce. Congratulations to Bjorn Jokay and Victoria Tinney who won Challenge #2.
Next Week:
Modified CAT Testing begins in the UE classroom next week. Wednesday morning all students will write the Mathematica Centrum math contest and Friday will be our final Engineering Challenge.
Monday afternoon we are incredibly lucky to have KMS parent Dave Patton into the UE classroom for an engaging presentation on Space and Astrobiology.
