Hip hip hooray! It’s almost Earth Day!
This week in Casa we have been hard at work preparing for “Expert Day”. This is the new name for ‘Culture Day’, where students throughout the school showcase their passion for learning and sharing. We hope that you can join us on the morning of Monday April 30 for this fun and informative event. Details on the exact timing will be sent home soon.
Next week we are very excited to welcome outdoor education expert Glen! For a second year in a row Glen is going to teach us all about our Earth through stories, song and games. We will also be planting some trees again in order to beautify our school yard.
Casa Tip of the Week: Do you know that your Casa aged child do not interrupt at school? We model this grace and courtesy for our students each and every day. We require children to wait patiently with their hand on our arm, until we are finished speaking with another child. We never shout across the classroom, and we teach the children this expectation in the first few weeks of school. Altogether these requirements create a calm, respectful culture where children are able to concentrate and learn. What is the culture you have created in your home?
