Casa Update – November 27 to December 1, 2017

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

This week in Casa: There might not be snow on the ground yet, but we are getting ready for the holidays!  Christmas singing and crafting have begun, and our hearts are filled with the holiday spirit.

Next week:  Get ready for Santa’s Shop!  On Thursday morning, we will be making a very special trip to Lower Elementary to do our Christmas shopping.  Please see the notice for all of the details on the Lower Elementary web page.

Casa Tip: Cold and flu season has also arrived with gusto.  Please consider the following:

  • Young children require supervision when washing their hands.   Hand washing is the number one way to stop the spread of germs, but it only works if your child is actually washing with soap!
  • Young children need reminders to practice sneezing and coughing into their elbows!  Catch those germs friends!
  • It is imperative that you keep your sick child home in order to keep our whole school community safe and healthy for the holidays.  Our school policy is that a child who experiences diarrhea, vomiting or fever must stay home for 24 hours after the last episode.  In addition, we ask that you use your best judgement as a parent.  If your child is unwell, please give them the time and space to recover.  We all want to be healthy for the holidays!
