UE News Nov. 6th – Nov. 10th

This Week:

The students worked hard preparing for our Remembrance Day Ceremony on Friday. They acted out scenes of war while Joe, Kristi and Kristina sang Stand by Me in the background. It was very powerful. Some students also chose to share a war fact in between these scenes. We are very proud of how the class stepped up for the beautiful ceremony. Some students also chose to enter a poster or an essay for the Remembrance Day Contest that took place at the Hastings Legion. We are proud to say that while everyone did a great job, Ryder won 1st place with his essay and his writing will go on to the next level of judging. Mishka and Colin won 2nd place with their entries. Nicely done!

Next Week:

The Grade 4s and some of the Grade 5s will continue to study Force and Motion in Science, while the Grade 6s will continue with their Electricity lessons and research. The class as a whole will be given a 2 week writing assignment that involves a 5 paragraph biography of a scientist or an inventor of their choosing.
