What’s happened: In Lower Elementary, students have had a great first few weeks of school! We had an amazing field trip to the Peterborough Zoo to kick off our Zoology lessons. We toured the animals, participated in the Education Program with Jim and watched the zookeeper feed the camels! This is week three in LE, and we are all continuing to learn the routines of the classroom and settling into our daily work. Students are beginning their individual notebooks, and in Culture we have been learning and classifying Vertebrates and Invertebrates.
Next week: We will continue with our Zoology lessons and dive into the world of Geometry. On the 28th we have a Parent/Child Open House from 3:45-4:45 pm. You can look forward to your child acting as your tour guide in the classroom!
Tip: Some students are a little tired right now so please make sure they are getting to bed on time. Please remember to read to your child daily and have them read to you as well, because extra practice is always important.
